Hi! I’m Wendy Stephens, a freelance artist and illustrator. I’m a spooky-cute artist who creates pastel-coloured art that I retail as prints, stickers, and other merch in my Etsy store, which has over 5,000 5-star reviews. All of my high-quality giclée art prints are handmade with love from my studio in Hertfordshire, before shipping them worldwide.

After studying Illustration and Graphic Design at university, I ran my own graphic design business for several years. But my true passion is drawing and painting, so in recent years I’ve shifted my focus to illustration work.

I’m inspired by all things a little bit dark or macabre. I love to draw skulls, ghosts, pumpkins, witches, vampires and other spooky creatures. I use soft pastel colours to create a sense of playfulness, while still maintaining a gothic aesthetic. Imagine a world where haunted houses are pink, ghosts and pumpkins are cute and cuddly, and where demons, vampires and werewolves can be pin-up girls. That’s the kind of art I love to create!

I was thrilled when Penguin Random House saw my illustration work on Instagram and asked me to illustrate the cover of a new modern romance novel, ‘This Spells Disaster’ by author Tori Anne Martin published in 2023.
